Its not a matter of just unplugging the usb device. I use a PC so I dont know how mac handles hardware like usb devices. If you uninstall the usb device and then reinstall it, sometimes it fixes the problem. How do I use the Snowball mic in Windows 10 Go to Call -> Audio Settings and select Blue Snowball iCE from the Microphone pull-down menu. Select the down arrow beside Sound, video and game controllers and then right-click Yeti Stereo Microphone. Open Run by searching for it or by pressing Win + R. (Wouldn't be the first time I've done that. Sometimes ( you snow ball is plug and play) a device just isnt recognized by a program. Make sure your Blue Yeti is correctly connected to your computer. I also find Audacity useful for playing around with setup - for one thing I can confirm that it is actually the expensive mic that's picking up the sound and not the cheap laptop built-in mic. I hesitate to post on this thread because I know very little about this sort of thing compared to people like Fireberd and probably the OP.īut I do have a different Blue USB mic (a Yeti) which I've only really started to play with, but it does seem to work OK with Windows 10.
